We're thrilled to announce that CaptureKit is becoming part of WebAPI Group, bringing our screenshot API technology to their comprehensive API ecosystem.
I'm thrilled to announce that CaptureKit is becoming part of WebAPI Group.
I started CaptureKit because taking automated screenshots at scale was hard. The existing solutions were complex, unreliable, or prohibitively expensive. My goal was to make web capture simple, fast, and accessible to developers everywhere. We built what I believe is the world's most reliable screenshot API, and we couldn't have done it without all of your support. Thank you.
I actually began talking to the WebAPI Group team several weeks ago about integrating our screenshot capabilities into their comprehensive API ecosystem. Since then, we've gone much deeper.
Now we can bring our screenshot technology to WebAPI Group's extensive suite of APIs. They are building the future of web API services, so anything we ship there reaches more developers and enables more powerful integrations. It also lets us pour all our energy into what we do best: capturing the web reliably and beautifully, while WebAPI Group handles the infrastructure and ecosystem development.
Here's what to expect
Nothing is breaking today. Your API keys keep working as usual.
Pricing remains unchanged. All current pricing plans and rates stay exactly the same.
CaptureKit API stays online and fully supported.
CaptureKit remains committed to developers with the same reliable service you've come to expect with AWS.
Exciting updates are coming. The WebAPI Group teams will be developing enhanced services and new features that will make our screenshot capabilities even more powerful and reliable.
Payment system transition. We have transitioned our payment system from Lemon Squeezy to Stripe to provide better billing management and payment options. As part of this transition, we have stopped the old subscriptions and contacted all existing customers who had active paid subscriptions by email with detailed instructions on how to migrate to the new system seamlessly.
What this means for you
If you're a current CaptureKit user: Nothing changes with your current setup. Your API access continues seamlessly, and we're committed to maintaining the same level of service and support you've come to expect.
If you're new to both platforms: You're joining us at an exciting time. The combination of CaptureKit's reliability and WebAPI Group's comprehensive API suite opens up countless possibilities for your projects.
